When I was a kid, we went to the Converse Factory in ... maybe, Bristol or Barrington, Rhode Island ... to buy factory seconds because they were cheap. They were low and blue. My husband wore red Converse All-Star high tops (and white ones) when I first met him because they were cool. Now, my youngest wants a similar pair. I find that hilarious, but Converse must be doing something right.
